For years, Rhonda bragged about Tommie's BBQ, telling him he needed to start selling it because it was just that good. Anytime there was a family gathering or a neighborhood get-together, Tommie was behind the grill seasoning, smoki
Tommie and Rhonda Edwards founded The Pit Boss on Wheels in 2025, but the vision started long before then. For years, Rhonda bragged about Tommie's BBQ, telling him he needed to start selling it because it was just that good. Anytime there was a family gathering or a neighborhood get-together, Tommie was behind the grill seasoning, smoking, and serving plates that had everybody coming back for seconds. His childhood friends were shocked too half joking, half amazed because they couldn’t believe he could really throw down like that.
One day, Tommie finally decided to make the dream real. He had a custom smoker built, and when it was finished and ready to hit the road, everything changed. The moment they pulled up to a lot on Cedar Crest and Bonnie View, The Pit Boss on Wheels was born. Almost instantly, people started pulling up neighbors, families, folks driving by drawn in by the smell of good smoked BBQ.
And just like that, the Edwards’ passion turned into a community favorite. The BBQ was a hit, the support was unbelievable, and The Pit Boss on Wheels became more than a food spot it became a story of family, flavor, and a dream that rolled right into reality.
